Chimneys, pipework and steam at an industrial plant under a heavy evening sky

Europe's industrial renaissance starts with the factories it already has.

Manufacturers can only achieve it with the right tools. We build tools for the renaissance.

operating going dark competitive

Every time a plant goes dark, a town dies a little.

The industrial map of Europe is thinning. Margins are tighter. Supply chains are more fragile. Competition is global in a way it never was. And when a plant closes, it takes more than its output. It takes skilled jobs, decades of know-how, and a part of the town that grew around it.

These are not failing companies. The Mittelstand, the ETIs, the hidden champions lead the world in narrow markets: specialty chemicals, precision components, industrial equipment. They are the backbone of European competitiveness. And a Europe that cannot make things will not matter on the world stage.

They are not losing on quality. They are losing on cost.

Competitiveness is decided in what you buy.

01

Cost decides.

A manufacturer that cannot compete on price loses ground, then closes. However good the product.

02

The biggest cost is bought parts.

For most manufacturers, purchased parts and materials are the largest cost there is.

03

And it is fixed before the quote.

70 to 80% of that cost is locked upstream, in the specs and the design. By the time a price is requested, the money is already committed.

That makes procurement the lever. Not the paperwork at the end of the line: the place where competitiveness is won or lost.

It was never insight. It was capacity.

Procurement teams have always known the kind of savings hiding in their spend: over-engineered specs, redundant parts, suppliers who should never have won the job. But knowing the pattern is not the same as finding the parts.

That means checking every part against its cost drivers, its design constraints and what suppliers can actually do. Ten thousand parts is months of work for fifteen specialists. No mid-market company could justify the bill. So it never got done.

AI changed that. Work that needed a room of specialists now runs in software.
